Which Massage is Best For Me?

One of the most common questions I get is "Which massage should I get?"

Well, the honest answer is that it all depends on YOU. What are you looking to get from your massage experience? Are you wanting to destress or work on certain body related issues? What is your past medical history?

I'm going to break down the different services I offer and give a very brief description as to what to expect when you ask for a particular service. Keep in mind that each visit is as unique as you and my intention is to focus completely on your personal needs, which may also differ with each visit!

  1. Chair Massage: This is a great way to introduce yourself to a professional massage experience without feeling too vulnerable. During a chair massage the client (you) will remain fully clothed to their personal comfort level. The work will be focused on the shoulders, neck, and back.

  2. Custom Swedish Therapeutic Massage: Swedish massage is probably the most widely used and taught in the United States. During a Swedish Massage you will be invited to lay on a professional massage table and undress to your comfort level. You will be draped with a sheet for comfort and dignity. (Most massages I offer will be like this as well.) I usually like to dim the lights and have candles and music playing. Think SPA experience.

  3. Prenatal Massage (2nd and 3rd trimesters only): A Massage is an amazing experience for an expecting mother! Relaxation during pregnancy will only benefit you and your little one! You will be invited onto the massage table and able to undress to your comfort level. I like to use many comfy pillows to position you side lying on the table. As a nurse, I have had the honor to work with midwives and assisted in many natural birth processes. I have taken courses specifically for Prenatal Bodywork, and I am able to answer questions and give safe stretches for you to do at home to assist in facilitating a more comfortable labor experience in the future. (Please wait until you are in your 2nd trimester to get a massage, as it is not recommended for newly pregnant mamas!)

  4. Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage: Deep Tissue Massage is an amazing tool to help relieve tight muscles, muscle pain, and even anxiety! The touch is firmer than a Swedish Massage in order to relieve the tension in the deeper muscle fibers. As always, I like to communicate on the firmness desired for every client, so don't hesitate to ask for more pressure or an elbow if desired!

  5. CBD Therapeutic/Medical Massage: Most massages I let you pick your choice of massage cream or oil, but in a CBD massage you will get to experience the deep warming sensation of a professional grade CBD cream. You will instantly feel the warming sensation where the cream is applied and this helps to relax your entire body! This is great for chronic musculoskeletal issues and general relaxation.

  6. Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage: The height in luxury, Hot stones have been used in massage for thousands of years, and this modality has amazing health benefits! You will be invited onto the massage table and worm stones will be placed on different areas of your body, including your spine, chest, stomach, face, palms, and feet. This is a great option for anyone with autoimmune disorders, anxiety, trouble sleeping, muscle pain, or a need to self indulge in this ancient luxury massage technique!

Whatever your need is, I plan to give a luxurious, professional, and private service.
